Episode 85: Macon and Capricorn Records, Tommy Talton salute and Who'll Stop the Rain JimJam

Today’s show is a replay from February 2024, bringing some of the great album rock of the 60s and 70s right to your ears and to your mind. I'm a child of the 60s and I just love this music. It brings me back to sense excitement. The smells, the tastes, the feelings of joy, bliss and of course, some sadness as some of our friends and acquaintances didn't survive those times. My intention this hour and every hour of Tales Vinyl Tells is to lift you up. This hour you'll hear a band with Yes members that absolutely kills it. There's Cold Blood with Lydia Pence and salutes to Tommy Talton of Cowboy and Gregg Allman Band, adding some ear-joy from Melanie Safka who also entered the room next door recently. Today’s playlist is below.

And thanks for listening today.  My email is talesvinyltells@gmail.com.  If you want to hear a Tales Vinyl Tells when it streams live on RadioFreeNashville.org, we do that at 5 PM central time Wednesdays. The program can also be played and downloaded anytime at podbean.com, Apple podcasts, iHeart podcasts, Player FM podcasts, Listen Notes podcasts and many other podcast places. And of course you can count on hearing the Tales on studiomillswellness.com/tales-vinyl-tells anytime.
